
To tie in with Wimbledon fortnight (21 June - 4 July) Swissôtel The Howard is offering the very acme of luxury in the sumptuous Tennis Tea, available throughout this month and until the champions are crowned on centre court.
Tea is served from the kitchens of 12 Temple Place Restaurant to the hotel’s Mauve Lounge and, as well as finger sandwiches and strawberry & cream tarts, the banquet includes these delicate shortbread fancies served on an edible green ‘lawn’. Every pip on the strawberry has been piped in the kitchen just for your delectation. Those taking Tennis tea will also be served Champagne jelly, scones and macaroons; all prepared and finished with precision by the hotel’s pastry chefs. It may be rather a self-indulgent way to spend your afternoon but for £32 each, Swissôtel can offer hospitality to rival the Royal Box.
