Mass times: Mon-Fri 1.05pm (Confessions 12.30pm), Sat 6.00pm, Sun 9.30am, 11.30am.
Corpus Christi is also the spiritual home of the Catholic Stage Guild, an organisation catering for the spiritual needs of Catholics engaged in Theatre, Film, TV, Radio and allied arts, including writers, performers and technicians. Contact no. for the Catholic Stage Guild is 020 7240 1221. We have a beautiful statue of the Patron Saint of Actors, St Genesius (an actor-martyr of the 3rd Century), and there is a lovely prayer for actors:
"My Jesus, bless me in this my actor's life.
Whether I draw tears from the audience or make them laugh,
offstage let me be seriously minded,
yet keep my sorrows behind the scenes.
May I be undeceived by success
and undismayed by failure.
Make me generous towards the work of others
and a good influence wherever I may go.
Let me always return to the Sacraments,
however often things go wrong.
On stage, off stage,
in life, in death,
Jesus have mercy
on my soul.
Amen."
