Old MacDonald had a farm, ee eye ee eye o! Every child knows this popular song and wants to visit a farm. Now they can for one weekend only in the heart of Covent Garden. Children and their parents have the great opportunity to see a range of farm animals at the Second Agricultural Show and St. Giles Fayre at the Phoenix Garden in Covent Garden.
In June 2009 the Phoenix Garden Committee organised the first country event and it was a great success. Over 200 local residents from Covent Garden, Soho and St. Giles attended the show. For that reason the Phoenix Garden Committee decided to organise another Agricultural Show in Phoenix Garden on 4 September 2010.
There will be a range of attractions and activities such as farm animals, Morris dancers as well as Punch and Judy. It will be a fun day for all and the entrance is free.
To make the Second Agricultural Show and St. Giles Fayre unforgettable the Phoenix Garden Committee needs your help. You can help support this community event by purchasing an item from a list of attractions such as a Falconry Display for £250 or a Mobile Farm for £450. Not only would you be raising your profile in the community, but you’d be supporting the Phoenix Garden’s work in Covent Garden.
